If the t%5E2 has no coefficient ( the whole number before it) means it is 1 (you can write t%5E2 as 1%2At%5E2), you can follow these steps:
First term is t%5E2: we know that the factor of t%5E2 is t times t
Last term : 1%2F4 , we know that the factor of 1%2F4 is 1%2F2 times 1%2F2.
Middle term t : if you ADD the 2 factors of the last term, you must get the coefficient of the middle term.
If you add %281%2F2%29t+%2B+%281%2F2%29t+=+1t or t, which is the middle term.
