Question 731273: I don't understand how to complete this problem. The answer key says it should be 2 but I don't get that answer. Here's the problem(sorry I don't know how to type this stuff):
The cube root of 88 / the cube root of 11
I did 88^1/3 over 11^1/3 and then got 88/11 which then becomes 8. Please help! I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Thank you :) Found 3 solutions by KMST, Alan3354, ankor@dixie-net.com:Answer by KMST(5328) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The cube root of 88 / the cube root of 11
Factor inside the numerator radical to reveal a perfect cube
Extract the cube root of 8 and you have = 2
(cube root of 11 over cube root of 11 = 1)
