Question 73109: I don't know if I am on the right track or not , and I am not sure how to finish.
2 [1 -9] [0 -2 -8] - [1 10 6]
[4 3] [4 7 5] - [5 -2 0] The brackets are to go around both rows
(It is 2 times a 2by2 times a 2by3 subtract a 2by3
I have
2[-36 -65 -53] - [1 10 6]
[ 12 13 -17] - [5 -2 0] I am not sure how to do the rest, do I multiply 2 by each # in the first 2x3? Please help.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
---------------
Yes, multiply each element of the 2x3 matrix by 2
then subtract the corresponding elements of the last matrix
--------
In the answer the element in the 1st row, 1st column is 2*-36-1=-73
----------
Cheers,
