Question 7310: Im confuse to how to do this but can you help to solve this equation...
write the equation of the line and graph.
1) slope=-2/3, y-intercept=-8
2) slope=3, cointains point(2,1)
3) passes through(-2,2) and (2,-10)
thank you very much! it will really help me alot if you help with this one..

You can put this solution on YOUR website! 1) this one is easy. slope -2/3 means that there us a part of the equation. Y=intercept of -8 means that the constant is -8.
2) try doing it yourself, write y=3x+a. For point 2, 1 (x=2, y=1), write: 1=3*2+a, solve for a.
3)

hahaWe are trying to find equation of form y=ax+b, where a is slope, and b is intercept, which passes through points (x1, y1) = (-2, 2) and (x2, y2) = (2, -10).
Slope a is .
Intercept is found from equation , or . From that,
intercept b is , or .
y=(-3)x + (-4)
