4x+3-2x=15-5x+9

simplify
2x+3=24-5x

add 5 x to both sides
5x+(2x+3)=(24-5x)+5x
7x+3=24

subtract 3 from both sides
(7x+3)-3=(24)-3
7x=21

x=3

(4x -2x +5x) =15+9 -3
7x = 21
x= 21/7
x=3
