Force = Torque/Lever Arm (where torque is measured in foot-pounds) (lever arm is measured in feet and force is measured in pounds.
a. For a torque of 45 foot-pounds, make a table and graph of the forces required when using lever arms ranging from 6 inches to 3 feet.
b. is the relationship linear or nonlinear?
c. what is the difference in required force if you change from a 6 in long wrench to one that is 12 inches? What difference is there when going to a 2 foot to 3 foot wrench?
