You'll note that the equation is already as much in standard form as in general form, since the x term is 0*x.
y=3x%5E2-7
y=3%28x-0%29%5E2-7
The symmetry axis is still the y-axis number line. How does y=3%28x-0%29%5E2-7 compare with y=a%28x-h%29%5E2%2Bk ? The vertex is the point, (h, k).
