You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1 a + 6 b = 5 .............1

1 a + 2 b = -3 .............2
Eliminate y
multiply (1)by 1
Multiply (2) by -3
1 a 6 b = 5
-3 a -6 b = 9
Add the two equations
-2 a = 14
/ -2
a = -7
plug value of a in (1)
1 a + 6 b = 5
-7 + 6 b = 5
6 b = 5 + 7
6 b = 12
b = 2
a= -7
b= 2
(-7,2) is the solution
