You can put this solution on YOUR website! There are 40 people in a room. 23 are wearing jeans, 17 are wearing a T-shirt, and 12 are wearing both jeans and a T-shirt.
----------------
Draw a Venn diagram of a rectangle with 2 intersecting circles
inside. Label the rectangle "40"
Label the intersection "12".
Label the Jean's circle as 23-12 = 11
Label the T-shirt circle as 17-12 = 5
--------------
If a person is selected at random , then find the probability that they are wearing jeans, but not a T-shirt.
Ans: 11/40
