You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Y=mX+b IS THE POINT SLOPE FORMULA WHERE m=SLOPE & b=THE Y INTERCEPT.
GIVEN A POINT (3,-4) & A SLOPE (m) OF -5 THEN SUBSTITUTING 3 FOR X & -4 FOR Y WE GET:
-4=-5*3+b
-4=-15+b
b=-4+15
b=11 WHICH IS THE Y INTERCEPT. NOW THE FORMULA IS:
Y=-4X+11
