Question 727711: The perimeter of a rectangle is 94 inches. The width is 2 more than twice the length. What are the dimensions of the rectangle? Answer by ohtheirony(35) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The two opposite sides in a rectangle are congruent. So , there will be two congruent widths and two congruent lengths. x=side length
length=2x
width=x+2
(x+2)+(x+2)+(2x)+(2x)=94
6x+4=94
6x=60
x=10
Take x and put it back in your original equations for length and width
length= 2(10) =20 in
width= 2+10 =12 in
