Question 726918: A quiz consists of 10 multiple choice questions. Each question is marked either “right” or “wrong.” Each right answer gets 5 points, and 1 point is taken off for each wrong answer. What is the correlation between the score on the test and the number of right answers

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x = the number of right answers. Then the number of wrong answers is 10-x

5 points for each right answer results in a score of 5x. -1 point for each wrong answer is -1*(10-x) = -10 + x.

The score is the sum of right and wrong answers: 5x + (-10 +x) = 6x-10
