You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The first one cannot be factored further, since there are no common factors amongst the terms.

The second one can be written as this
5y-15=5y-5%2A3Since there are 2 terms that have a 5 in them, you can factor out a 5
5%28y-3%29If you distribute the 5, you will get 5y-15

the 3rd problem can be written as
5%2A2y-5=5%282y-1%29Where the 5 is factored out

The fourth is similar, but the common term is x. So factor out an x
x%5E2%2B2x=x%28x%2B2%29If you distribute the x you get x^2+2x.

Here are few problems that need to be factored:
8y-5= 8(y-(5/8))
This could also be factored as:
5((8/5)y-1)
---------
5y-15= 5(y-3)
This could also be factored as:
15((1/3)y-1)
---------
10y-5= 5(2y-1)
This could also be factored as:
10(y-(1/2))
----------
x^(2)+2x = x(x+2)
