Question 725329: Show a graph that shows the solution to the system of equations? y=2x+1 y=-x-5

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Y=2x+1 the slope(m) is 2 or 2/1 and the coordinate(b or y) is 1 or (0,1)
You would graph this by putting a point at (0,1) and going up two, to the right 1 and put a point because of the slope(rise over run). You would continue this until you run out of space on the graph. Then you would go the opposite way down two, to the left 1 and put a point until you run out of room.
Y=-x-5 the slope(m) is -1 or -1/1 and the coordinate(b or y) is -5 or (0,-5)
You would make a new line by graphing point (0,-5) and going down 1, to the right 1 and continue going making a point until you run out of room. Then you do the opposite. Up one to the left 1 making a point until you run out of room.
You should end up with two straight lines. Where the two line intersect is the solution to the system of equations. The answer should be a coordinate.(x,y)
