let x=jack's age
7x= Jill's age
..
3 years from now: (5 yrs hence)
x+5=Jack's age
7x+5=Jill's age
7x+5=4(x+5)=4x+20
3x=15
x=5
..
Now:
x+2=7
7x+2=37
jack's age now=7
Jill's age now=37
