Question 722225: |x√3:(457)+√2:(101)|+ 2√5:(423)=-√5:(423)
IF you don't understand it means absloute value sign cube root of 457 plus square root of 101 plus 2(a qhole number which is outside the sqaure root)5th root of 423 equals - 5th root of 423

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

If this is the equation, then there is no solution because...
  • the fifth root of a positive number, like root%285%2C+423%29, will be positive.
  • So the right side of the equation will be negative (because of the minus in front of what we know is a positive number).
  • On the left side, the term outside the absolute value is a positive number (because 2 times what we know is a positive will also be positive.
  • Like all absolute values, the absolute value on the left side cannot be negative, no matter what x happens to be. (It could be zero or positive but never negative.)
  • So the left side is the sum of an absolute value (which cannot be negative) and a known positive number. This cannot be equal to what we know is a negative number on the right side.
