Next you have to realise that you cannot divide fractions. However, we can multiply. So, if we turn the second fraction upside down and multiply, we get an answer.
This is OK to do, consider 10 x 2 --> 20.
Now consider 10 divided by 1/2... how many halfs go into 10? answer 20..so equivalent sum.
so we had (18/5) / (5/2)
--> we now have 18/5 * 2/5
You can put this solution on YOUR website! i think its easier to convert them both into improper fractions first. so you have 18/5 divided by 5/2. dividing fractions is the same as multiplying by the reciprical (?sp?) so you are really doing 18/5 times 2/5. so, multiply your numerators and denominators and you get 36/25 which simplifies into 1 11/25
