You can put this solution on YOUR website!
two consecutive sides of a rectangle are in the ratio 4 to 6.
The area is 384 meters squared. Find the dimension of the rectangle
:
let x = the multiplier
then
4x = the width
and
6x = the length
then
4x*6x = the area
:
4x * 6x = 384
24x^2 = 384
divide both sides by 24
x^2 = 16
x = sqrt%2816%29
x = 4 is the multiplier
hence
4*4 = 16 m is width
and
4*6 = 24 m is the length
