Let the smaller number be 'a' and bigger number be 'b'.
Given : a + b = 36 -------------eq.1
a) b ( 2
----
3
This can be written as
b = 2a + 3 or 2a-b = -3 -------eq.2
Solving eq.1 and 2, we get
a= 11 and b = 25
