You can put this solution on YOUR website!
What is x^2 + 2x√5 + 5 factored
add sqrt of the first term+sqrt of last term and square it
(x+√5)^2=x^2+2x√5+5
Therefore: x^2 + 2x√5 + 5 factored=(x+√5)^2 or (x+√5)(x+√5)

Try to fill in what is missing in (x+____)(x+____). You see the constant term is 5, so you want something a and b so that ab=5. You also see a sqrt%285%29 in the x term. You might be looking for irrational numbers.

5*1? 1%2A5? sqrt%285%29%2A1? sqrt%285%29%2Asqrt%285%29?
Also, in the FOIL method of multiplying, you want to sum of the O and I terms to be 2x%2Asqrt%285%29.

Try %28x%2Bsqrt%285%29%29%28x%2Bsqrt%285%29%29.
