12x = 90

x = 90/12

x = 15/2

x = 7.5

5x = 5*7.5 = 37.5

7x = 7*7.5 = 52.5

So the two angles are 37.5 degrees and 52.5 degrees

Therefore, the smaller angle is 37.5 degrees
