You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Another little car went by at a speed of 40 kilometers per hour. What was the angular velocity of its wheels in radians per second if the diameter of it's wheels was 10 centimeters?
--------------
(40km/hr)(1hr/3600sec) = (40/3600)(km/sec) = (1/90)(km/sec)
==========
Circumference of the wheel = 10pi cm
------------
Find number of revolutions of the wheel per second.
[(1/90) km]/[10pi cm]=(1/900pi)(km/cm)
=(1/900pi)(1000m/(1/100)m)
=(1/900pi)(100000)
=35.368 rev/second
---------
Convert those revolutions to radians
35.368(2pi)rad/sec
=222.222 rad/sec
------------
