You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let n = the first integer, then
Let n+1 = the second integer.
The problem statement is
(1) 5*n + 3*(n+1) = 59 or
(2) 5*n + 3*n + 3 = 59 or
(3) 8*n = 56 or
(4) n = 7
Then
(5) n+1 = 8
Is (5*7 + 3*8 = 59)?
Is (35 + 24 = 59)?
Is (59 = 59)? Yes
Answer: The two consecutive numbers are 7 and 8.
