Question 715932: can you show how to work this problem out,I have the answer I need to know how to get the answer. the answer is m=5/8
question: find the slope m of the line that passes through the points (-2,2) and (6,7)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Slope formula:

m = %28y%5B2%5D-y%5B1%5D%29%2F%28x%5B2%5D-x%5B1%5D%29

where (x1,y1) = (-2,2)

and where (x2,y2) = (6,7)

m = %28y%5B2%5D-y%5B1%5D%29%2F%28x%5B2%5D-x%5B1%5D%29

m = %28%287%29-%282%29%29%2F%28%286%29-%28-2%29%29

m = 5%2F%286%2B2%29

m = 5%2F8
