Question 715262: A man stands on a cliff and looks across the canyon in front of him. On the other side of the canyon, he sees a tree. The tree is 52 ft away from him.
From where the man stands the angle of elevation to the top of the tree is32 degrees. From his position, the angle of depression to the bottom opposite side of the canyon is 67 degrees.
What is the height of the tree?
What is the distance from the bottom of the canyon to the top of the tree?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Tan 32 = height of tree/ horizontal distance
52 * tan 32 = height of tree
0.62*52= 32.5 feet
similarly
Tan 67 * 52 = bottom of canyon to the foot of the tree
=122.5
Add up both
32.5+122.5
=160 feet ---- from top of tree to bottom of canyon
