You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5/100 = x/2500

5*2500 = 100x

12500 = 100x

100x = 12500

x = 12500/100

x = 125

So 125 inches on the map represents 2,500 miles in real life.

it is proportional; so, 5in%3A100mil=x%3A2500mil
5in%2A2500mil=100xmil
5in%2A2500mil%2F100mil=x
