You can put this solution on YOUR website! the ratio 5:3 (milk:plain) shows us that there are '2 parts' more people who prefer milk to plain.
since there are 46 more people, then those 2 parts = 46 people.
giving us 1 part = 23 people.
so 5 parts = 5*23 = 115 people
and 3 parts = 3*23 = 69 people.
this gives a total of 184 people in the survey.
