You can
put this solution on YOUR website!
log(2x+8)=1+ log(x-5)
log(2x+8) - log(x-5) = 1
log(2x+8)/(x-5) = 1
(2x+8)/(x-5) = 10^1
(2x+8)/(x-5) = 10
(2x+8) = 10(x-5)
2x+8 = 10x-50
8 = 8x-50
58 = 8x
58/8 = x
7.25 = x
