You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let, the whole pole's hight is = 1
so, the pole is painted red = (1/3 of 1)
= 1/3
again, the pole is painted blue = (1/2 of 1)
= 1/2
the pole is total painted = (1/3 + 1/2)
= {(2+3)/6}
= 5/6
so, the part of pole left = (1-5/6)
= {(6-5)/6}
= 1/6
If 1/6 is = 4 feet
so, 1 is = (6*4*1)/1
= 24
That means, the whole pole is 24 feet
answer: 24 feet
