You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How many liters of pure water should be mixed with a 16-L solution of 90% acid to produce a mixture that is 90% water?
------------
Equation:
water + water = water
0.10*16 + 1*x = 0.90(16 + x)
Multiply thru by 100 to get:
10*16 + 100x = 90*16 + 90x
----
10x = 80*16
x = 8*16 = 128 liters (amt. of pure water needed)
