Question 712044: i am having the worst time on what i thought would be a fairly easy question, it goes like this "-16t2+h0 describes the height of a falling object after falling from an initial height of(ho)for(t) seconds. a marble is dropped from a tower at the height of 65 Ft.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I'm not sure what the question is
You are given +h%280%29+=+65+ ft
Let +h+ = the height at any time +t+
+h%28t%29+=+-16t%5E2+%2B+h%280%29+
+h%28t%29+=+-16t%5E2+%2B+65+
The logical question would be
" What is the time +t+ when the object hits the ground "
When it hits the ground, +h%28t%29+=+0+, so
+0+=+-16t%5E2+%2B+65+
+16t%5E2+=+65+
+t%5E2+=+65%2F16+
Take the square root of both sides
+t+=+sqrt%28+65+%29+%2F+4+
+t+=+8.0623+%2F+4+
+t+=+2.0156+
The object hits the ground in 2.0156 sec
