You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How much of a 60% acid solution must be mixed with 50 gallons of a 24% acid solution to obtain a solution that is 50% acid?
-----------------------
Equation:
acid + acid = acid
0.60x + 0.24*50 = 0.50(x+50)
------
60x + 24*50 = 50x + 50*50
10x = 26*50
x = 130 gallons (amt. of 60% solution needed)
