Rewrite the middle term as the sum of two terms and them factor completely.
25x^2 + 35x + 12
:
Maybe this is what they want you to do:
:
25x^2 + 20x + 15x + 12
:
Factor out 5x from the 1st two terms, and 3 from the last two terms
5x(5x + 4) + 3(5x + 4)
:
Factor out the (5x+4) and you are left with:
(5x + 4) (5x + 3)
