Question 709617: f(x)= 3x/1+x, x≥0
A) Find the range
b)For which values is f(x)=2
I know the answer to A in my book is [0,3)
Is the x value 0, because the problem state x is greater than or equal to 0?
I don't under stand why the y value is 3 and how to find the range.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
f(x)= 3x/1+x, x≥0
-----------------------
A) Find the range
The horizontal asymptote is y = 3.
Since the domain is x>=0, range is {0,3)
---------------------------------------------------
b)For which values is f(x)=2
Solve (3x)/(1+x) = 2
3x = 2+2x
x = 2
------------------------------------------------
Graph, so you can see why range is [0,3)
