You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Kerri spent $84 on 12 daylilies and 10 bunches of ornamental grass.
Dave spent $54 on a 3 daylilies and 8 bunches or ornamental grass.
What is the cost of one daylily and the cost of one bruncb of ornamental grass.
---------------------
Equations:
12d + 10g = 84
3d + 8g = 54
----------------
Modify:
12d + 10g = 84
12d + 32g = 216
----
Subtract and solve for "g":
22g = 132
g = $6 (cost of one bunch of grass)
---------------------------
Solve for "d":
3d + 8g = 54
3d + 8*6 = 54
3d = 6
d = $2 (cost of one daylily)
