Set the sides equal to each other:
2x-4=x+4 Subtract x from both sides
x-4=4 Add 4 to both sides
x=8
You can do the same for the top and the bottom
3x-2 = 2x+6 Subtract 2x from both sides
x-2= 6 Add 2 to both sides
x=8
