Question 707904: How do you write a equation of the line (0,3)
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The y intercept is 3, so b = 3
We don't know the slope because it's not given and we have no way to find it since we don't have any other point. So leave the slope as m.
So y = mx+b turns into y = mx+3
So any equation that goes through (0,3) looks like y = mx+3
Once you figure out the slope, you can replace m with that slope.
