It is unclear what you are asking here.
If you mean to find what x makes y=0, which is the usual requirement for such equations (and referred to as zeroes of the equation) then,
y+=+4+-+x%5E2+=+0 is easily seen to be x+=+%2B+2 and x+=+-2.
