the question says: Given |x-9|=5, describe the relationship between x, 9, and 5 using absolute deviation.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
|x-9|=5 means that x is 5 units away from 9.

So x is either the number 14 or 4 since either number is exactly 5 units away from 9.

Draw out a number line and this may become clearer if what I'm saying doesn't make much sense.
