Question 70717: #1) (2x-3) (4x+5)=0
#2) X to the second power -3x=0

How do I solve this?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
#1) (2x-3) (4x+5)=0
If this product is zero, one of those factors must be zero.
If 2x-3 =0, then x=3/2
If 4x+5 =0, then x=-5/4
So x=3/2 or x=-5/4 are the two solutions.

#2) X^2 -3x=0
In this problem you have to first find the factors:
x(x-3) = 0
If this product is zero, one of those factors must be zero.
If x=0, x=0
if x-3=0, then x=3
So x=0 or x=3 are the two solutions.
