SOLUTION: Factor the following trinomials;
16x^2 + 40xy + 25y^2
This is what I came up with and as far as I got with this problem.
2^4 x^2 + 40xy + 25^2

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Don't know what they are teaching you but what you have so far is the wrong approach.
When you see an equation that has two unknowns and both sqrt terms are perfect squares try the following:
16x^2+40xy+25y^2 find the square roots of the first & last terms and see if they are the correct factors thus:
(4x+5y)(4x+5y)
