How do you do x^2 + 5x +6 = 0
& b^2 - 7b - 18 = 0
---------------
It depends on what you mean by "do."
------------
x^2 + 5x +6 = 0
If you want to solve for x:
Factor it.
Find a pair of factors of 6 that have a sum of 5.
===============
b^2 - 7b - 18 = 0
To solve for b:
Find a pair of factors of 18 with a difference of 7.
==================================
"do" is better than saying "what is" but not a lot.
