Question 704567: 2cos(x) - sec(x) = 1
My work i dont know if this is right??
2cos(x) - (1/cos(x))=1
2cos(x^2) -1 / cos =1
-2sin(x^2) /cos =1
i do not know where to go from there

You can put this solution on YOUR website! 2cos(x) - sec(x) = 1
My work i dont know if this is right??
2cos(x) - (1/cos(x))=1
2cos(x^2) -1 / cos =1
*************It's not x^2, it's cos^2*************
----------------
2cos^2 - 1 = cos
2cos^2 - cos - 1 = 0
(2cos + 1)*(cos - 1) = 0
cos = 1
x = 0 + n*180 degs, n = +/1 0,1,2,3...
-------------
2cos = -1
x = 120 + n*360 n = +/1 0,1,2,3...
x = 240 + n*360 n = +/1 0,1,2,3...
