X-Y=8 X=Y+8 NOW SUBSTITUTE (Y+8) FOR X & SOLVE FOR Y
2(Y+8)+3Y=41
2Y+16+3Y=41
5Y=41-16
5Y=25
Y=25/5
Y=5 ANSWER NOW SUBSTITUTE 5 FOR Y & SOLVE FOR X
X-5=8
