Question 70359: describe the motion neeeded to make a graph if it is a distance verses time graph.
Answer by funmath(2933) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! describe the motion neeeded to make a graph if it is a distance verses time graph.
I'm not sure what you're asking, but I'll tell you what you need to know.
Distance is the dependent variable (it corresponds to what is usually y on the cartesian graph, the vertical axis.)
Time is the independent variable (it corresponds to what is usually x on the cartesian graph, the horizontal axis.)
The slope of this line would be the speed, (the change in distance/the change in time.)
If I didn't really answer your question, let me know specifically what you are confused about.
Happy Calculating!!!!
