Question 703059: 3x-2/3=2x+8
so I'm not sure if the left half of the equation counts as a fraction?
I tried to multiply both sides by 3, which got me the answer -26/3
I put it back in and got 9.333333333 on one side and 9 1/3 for the other... are those the same? am I doing this right?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3x-2/3=2x+8
so I'm not sure if the left half of the equation counts as a fraction?
I tried to multiply both sides by 3, which got me the answer -26/3
I put it back in and got 9.333333333 on one side and 9 1/3 for the other... are those the same? am I doing this right?
----
Yes; 9.333333.. and 9 1/3 are the
-----
