Question 702924: In the Algebra 1 notetaking guide, their are 2 equations, 5x + 4y = -12 and 3x - 4y+ -20. they ask us to graph and identify the connecting points, where the 2 lines intersect. I worked out the problem I just don't know how to graph it. So can you graph the two equations? Answer by checkley79(3341) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 5x + 4y = -12
4y=-5x-12
y=-5x/4-12/4
y=-1.25x-3 the red line.
3x - 4y= -20
-4y=-3x-20
y=-3x/-4-20/-4
y=.75x+5 the green line.
x=-4
y=2
