You can put this solution on YOUR website!

write equation in slope intercept form:
  y + 2 = 4(x + 2)

Slope intercept form cosists of
these 6 things in this order:

1. The letter y
2. An equal sign =
3. A number (called the slope)
4. The letter x next to and multiplied
   by the number in 3
5. A plus or minus sign
6. A number (called the y-intercept)

y + 2 = 4(x + 2)

y + 2 = 4x + 8
   -2 -2
--------------
y     = 4x + 6

That's it. You have all 6 things there.
The slope is 4 and the y-intercept is
+6. The slope 4 means that if you trace
along the line you have to move upward
4 times as fast as you move to the right.

It's graph looks like this:

graph%28300%2C+300%2C+-10%2C+10%2C+-10%2C+10%2C+4x%2B6%29

Notice that it crosses the y-axis at +6, and that
it goes up 4 times as fast as it goes right.
