You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Graph each inequality
Please help me on this problem
a y>-2; this is a horizontal line thru the y axis at -2, area of feasibility is above this line
:
:
b y>2x-2
Choose two values for x, and find y; use x = -2 and x = +2
y = 2(-2) - 2 = -6; plot x,y of -2, -6
and
y = 2(+2) - 2 = +2; plot 2,2
:
:
c 4x- 6y < 12
Put in the standard "y=" form
-6y < 12 - 4x
We want y to be positive, mult eq by -1, this reverses < to >
+6y > 4x - 12
:
Divide both sides by 6:
y > (4/6)x - 12/6
y > (2/3)x - 2
:
Plot two value for this one, x = -3, x = +3, (gets rid of the fraction)
y = (2/3)(-3) - 2 = -4, plot -3,-4
y = (2/3)(+3) -2 = 0, plot +3,0

The graphs should look like this:
+graph%28+300%2C+200%2C+-10%2C+10%2C+-10%2C+10%2C+-2%2C+2x+-+2%2C+%282%2F3%29x+-+2%29+
:
a: y > -2, above the red line
b: y > 2x - 2, above the blue line
c: y > (2/3)x - 2, above the green line
