Question 701292: Factor the trinomial. 4x^2-56x-92
I'm having problems figuring out this problem. The only numbers I can find that go into 92 are 4 and 23 but when I plug that in:
4x(-23)+4x= -92x+4x=-88x. So it's not equaling -56x. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you. Found 2 solutions by jim_thompson5910, MathLover1:Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source):
